Academic Programs

Berachah Institute of Higher Education & Research offers four Bachelor’s Degree programs, one Diploma Course, one Certificate Course and three Master’s Degree Programs. Students can choose the suitable program based on their educational level, calling and needs. An entrance examination/evaluation will be conducted for all students seeking admission to these programs. Only successful candidates shall be admitted to the particular course.

Asia Theological Association (ATA)

Berachah Institute of Higher Education and Research has been an accredited member of the Asia Theological Association (ATA) since 2018. Its Diploma in Theology, Bachelor of Theology, and Master of Divinity programmes are formally accredited by ATA.

The Asia Theological Association (ATA), established in 1970, is a collaborative network of evangelical Christian theological schools and seminaries across Asia. ATA seeks to strengthen theological education and ministry training within the Asian context by promoting academic excellence, spiritual formation, and effective ministerial development, thereby equipping leaders for the mission of the Church.

ATA India, the Indian regional chapter of the Asia Theological Association, functions to serve the Church by supporting theological schools and colleges throughout India. Its mission is to enhance the quality of theological education and to ensure that training remains relevant and responsive to the evolving needs of the Church and society.

Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU)

Berachah Institute of Higher Education and Research is associated with Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU), Shillong, Meghalaya, for the offering of its Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) programmes in Christian Studies.

Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) is a private Christian university located in Shillong, Meghalaya, India. Established in 2005, the university was formally constituted under Act No. 11 of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, receiving government assent in July 2005 and gazette notification in February 2006. MLCU is recognized under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act and is empowered to award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act.

MLCU has developed a wide range of academic collaborations and partnerships, both nationally and internationally. These partnerships, many formalized through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), facilitate cooperation in academics, research, internships, and experiential learning, thereby enriching the academic and professional formation of students.
