Program Overview

If you have a heart for the church and desire to guide, encourage, and build up God’s people,
the Bachelor of Ministry program is designed for you. The course begins with an overview of the
entire biblical text, providing a strong foundation for deeper study.

Students engage in detailed analysis of key sections of Scripture, including study of biblical
languages, church history, and theological doctrines such as grace and eschatology. The program
also allows specialization in areas like pastoral ministry and preaching, cross-cultural mission,
leadership development, and advanced biblical studies.

The purpose of the Bachelor of Ministry is to provide sound biblical training to professionals,
church leaders, and individuals who seek a deeper understanding of the Word of God.

Program Objectives

• Provide sound biblical training to lay scholars and Christian workers
• Enable working individuals to pursue theological education through flexible study options
• Equip the working community with deeper knowledge of the Word of God
• Impart theological understanding for spiritual growth and ministry (1 Tim. 2:3–4)
• Prepare believers for evangelism and effective ministry

Application & Registration

• Open to Christians of all denominations, in India and abroad, with working knowledge of English
• Applicants must have completed 12th standard or equivalent, or 10th standard plus a Diploma in Theology
• Applicants with unrecognized D.Th must pass a qualifying exam (Biblical Studies, Theology, Ministry)
• Application form and prospectus available upon payment of ₹200
• Submit completed application with required documents to the Registrar, BIHER, Palampur
• Admissions are open throughout the year
• Admission is provisional until verification of certificates
• Final admission decision rests with the advisory committee
• Students must visit campus at least twice a year for exams and contact classes
• Library access is available (borrowing not permitted)
• Program duration: 6 semesters (3 years)
• Extension of 1 year may be granted with valid reason and additional fees
• Students must complete all academic requirements for graduation
• Degree is awarded based on recommendation of the Evaluation Committee
